Indigo Aura
Indigo Auras
Indigos—part of the emotional group—develop emotional intelligence, communication skills and intuition at an early age. Indigos lean on their intuition and instinct much more than any other color and often feel emotions physically. Indigos follow their own inner voices, feelings and intelligence instead of listening to opinions of others or making fact based decisions. Indigos succeed by feeling a strong emotional and intuitive connection to a project, person or place in their lives. They strive for perfection and idealism and will not compromise their own set of rules or values. They are driven to find emotional balance with life and work. Indigos, at a fundamental level, do not change much over time. Their beliefs, the types of people they are attracted to and what they value in life are almost pre-wired. Indigos have difficulty settling into a career, relationship or social group because they can blend in anywhere, do anything and get along with anyone. This is a mixed blessing as they have difficulty settling into long-term careers and relationships. Indigos need very strong partners in life, love and at work that can help them fulfill their potential. But once an Indigo is grounded, they are very productive.  Indigos and PersonalityIndigos and CareerIndigos and RelationshipsIndigos and Health and WellnessIndigos and SpiritualityIndigos and ChakrasIndigos and Color ChangeEnhancing Indigo Auras

INDIGOS & PERSONALITY:Indigos are extremely intelligent; they are perceptive and inquisitive from an early age. They seem to be born with knowledge and feelings on many subjects. Much of this knowledge is exceptionally perceptive and correct. Indigos appear precocious, however, their minds are just eagerly absorbing new material all the time. Indigos walk, talk and learn very rapidly from about the age of 8 months and are extremely gifted throughout school. Mentally, they constantly need to be challenged with new material and bore quickly of standard methods of learning. They excel at researching for deeper meanings to projects. Emotionally, Indigos are never really children and mature more quickly than their peers. They have active imaginations and are often artistic, well spoken, and creative writers. However, with others, they are not overly demonstrative or affectionate. Socially, they prefer to communicate with very carefully selected people. They can be guarded about sharing their thoughts and emotions. They always tell the truth, no matter how brutal it seems to others. They choose mates who are first, best friends, and then lovers. They want mates with strong personalities who are stable and secure.

INDIGOS & CAREER:Indigos are leaders that follow their own inner direction in selecting a career path. They are intelligent and powerful in securing any position that they choose, and can change career paths with ease and success. They have the ability to be entrepreneurs, although, they are not impressed or pressured by the money they earn. But they earn money because it is a means to an end. That end often involves donating time and money to causes that help others. Indigos, because of their intelligence, power, sensitivity, and creativity, will choose occupations that allow them the freedom to create, travel, and connect with life in various places. They have the sensitivity and patience to work with people of multiple cultures, the natural understanding to work with computers and technology and the love and compassion to work with children and animals. Their talents are limitless, and they are the happiest when they are able to live their lives in harmony with their beliefs and can touch others in meaningful ways. Good career choices for Indigos include: artist, writer, musician, counselor, teacher, entrepreneur, social worker, analyst, childcare worker, animal caretaker, designer, or health practitioner.

INDIGOS & RELATIONSHIPS:Indigos search for the right mate; they are involved in multiple relationships, some even occur simultaneously. Indigos look for mates who are not judgmental and let them explore their interests, their varied career choices, and their need for time and space alone. Indigos often choose mates who are friends first and then move on to become lovers. They need someone who has a strong personality, who is firmly rooted in reality, and who is able to make the Indigo feel strong, safe, and trusted. Indigos have good relationships with the other Emotional Personality color Auras of Blue, Lavender and other Indigos. That’s because these emotional colors are tolerant of the inquisitive Indigo and uncritical, which allows the Indigo full expression of ideas and plans. Indigos are somewhat compatible with the Spiritual colors of Violet and Crystal, although, the Violet may try to control the Indigo too much and be too loud for the Indigo. Crystals have compatible interests and spirituality. Indigos are also compatible with the physical Red; they both have a healthy respect for the real world around them and want to execute their ideas. Reds love Indigos with great passion. Oranges, Magentas and Yellows are too outrageous for the Indigo, playful for a small time, but not serious enough for the long term. Indigos only match well with the Greens in the mental colors because Greens and Indigos are inquisitive, love to enrich their knowledge base and use it in a positive manner. The other mental colors and combinations are too slow acting and want to keep the Indigo too close for comfort.

INDIGOS & HEALTH & WELLNESS:Indigos expend a tremendous amount of psychic, emotional, mental and physical energy all of the time. They are able to recognize when they are not feeling well and can heal themselves with the power of their minds. However, when Indigos take on too many projects, or travel too much, they become disoriented and fall into depression. This depression affects their entire bodies and often throws their emotional state into imbalance. As a result, and their physical body suffers colds, and aches and pains of the joints. Indigos have sensitive systems that are easily overloaded. Indigos need to regain their center of balance and reconnect with their inner knowing; they can heal their minds and bodies with the use of will and consciousness. Sometimes, Indigos need the help of Psychotherapeutics and counseling to help them rise to their former selves. The best way for Indigos to remain healthy is to stay connected to their center through meditation, exercise, and a comfortable, serene environment.

INDIGOS & SPIRITUALITY:Indigos do not like guilt or fear used by many religions to intimidate and manipulate their belief system. Indigos are naturally inquisitive and will challenge the nature of divinity and how it relates to their lives. Indigos seem to be born knowing everything. They walk, talk and absorb information at a very early age, so they also come into the world seeming to understand the existence of information about other times, places, and life. This presents itself as almost existential in nature; they seem to hold nature, life, and spirituality within them and around them—so it is a daily reality without the necessity of speaking about it or practicing any prescribed religion. They respond at an early age to the institutionalized religious practices of their parents, but later adopt their own brand of religious behavior. They may substitute reverence and honor, love and respect for religious objects, and often turn to their own form of prayer and meditation for spiritual fulfillment.

INDIGOS & CHAKRAS: Indigos are often associated with the Third Eye Chakra; this Chakra is the space between the eyes, which houses the center intuition. This center also houses the ego self and the spirit self, the reasoning and the intuitive mind, the masculine and the feminine. All of the dualities of the human are housed here, which creates an intelligent, intuitive, all knowing, sensitive life. Indigos use their third Chakra center to see clearly through all life situations. They depend on their intuition and their heightened senses to guide them through the decision making process of school, work, play and marriage.

INDIGOS & COLOR CHANGE:Indigos have a natural Aura color combination of Blue and Red. This creates the purplish hue that surrounds the Indigo fully instead of being located on one side of the body or the other. When the Indigo Aura is over stimulated, the Aura turns a dark purplish black. Characteristics of the Indigo change to become more authoritative, dogmatic, and manipulative. When this occurs, Red or Orange should be applied to warm the darkness of the Aura. If the Indigo Aura is under stimulated, the Indigo personality becomes undisciplined, oversensitive to the feelings of others, afraid of success, and paranoid or schizophrenic with dreams of grandeur or God like symptoms. If this occurs, the color Purple should be enhanced around the eye area and rest and relaxation along with meditation should be incorporated. It is so important to keep the Indigo Aura in balance with a soft Blue Purple hue because the Indigo will constantly challenge their minds to inquire more, see more, and live more than other Aura colors.

ENHANCING INDIGO AURAS:Indigos are hyper sensitive to everything that surrounds them—all living things, including plants, animals, and other humans. They use their five natural senses and three additional senses all the time—common sense, intuitive sense, and spiritual sense. Therefore, color can enhance their sensitivity even more and also stimulate and strengthen their energy. Conversely, there are times where Indigos need subdued, more natural fabrics and color surrounding them to prevent sensory overload. Clothing, jewelry, furniture, and accessories are all wonderful ways to both enhance and balance the Indigo Aura. The most balanced color palette for the Indigo in the form of clothing is from Purple to the Blue side of Grays. Black acts as a protective color for the Indigo so they don’t absorb too much energy from others and also protects and maintains their energy levels. Indigos need substantial, dark wood furniture surrounding them with bright, dark colors—Red, Purple, Blue, Green and Gold. Jewelry should be bold and include Lapis, Garnet, Amethyst and Ruby. Platinum and Gold are the metals of choice to enhance the strength and stamina of the Indigo.

Well, I looked my demons in the eyes,
laid bare my chest, said, “Do your best, destroy me.
You see, I’ve been to hell and back so many times,
I must admit you kind of bore me.” This quote gets me every time. (via meggygrace)

Here is what I know:
You drink your coffee black and we are afraid of each other.
Once you kissed my neck in front of your friends
and it made me very shy.
Once you kissed my stomach and I started crying.
I see the tender way you touch things and want to kiss your nose
but I keep my mouth to myself.
Your collarbones are craters big enough to fit my fist into.
You are the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in months.
I was not good to the last person I loved so I punished my heart
(I let it break and bleed out then roughly sewed it back together)
It is hard to write poems when I only know how to fuck you.
I am always trying. I am thinking of Somedays. I am saying goodbye.
You asked why I never write anything honest so I am writing you this. Clementine von Radics (via hushedsweetnothings)
